1. a friendly new service that picks up celebrity giveaways and respectfully auctions them to raise funds and awareness for the celebrity’s cause of choice.
2. the simplified combination of two high school nicknames, “Susie-Q” and “Cindy Lou Who,” the founders of QLu.
The concept is simple.
First, celebrities designate their favorite Good Causes.
Then, they send QLu personal items—from their homes, closets, lockers, offices, cars, or even dressing rooms.
Using eBay, QLu auctions these items to generate funds for each celebrity's Good Cause.
Ultimately, these everyday items—which might otherwise collect dust—become meaningful treasures to the buyer and the Good Cause
that benefits from the auction.
